Dr. Steve Harbin is founder and president of Walking with God Ministries International.  Prior to beginning this ministry, Steve served as a church growth consultant with LifeWay Church Resources (previously The Baptist Sunday School Board) Nashville, Tennessee.  He has also served as a pastor in SBC churches for over 20 years.

Steve began Walking with God Ministries began as a revival ministry in 1995.  Today the ministry leads conferences in the areas of lay renewal, deacon and elder training and development.   

His  prayer   conference, "Journey to Intimacy with the Father" has been conducted in churches in the United States, Brazil, Lithuania and Honduras. 

In 2001, Steve led the ministry to become international in its focus.  Today, Walking With God Ministries has established and maintains evangelistic ministries, medical missions and church planting work in Brazil, Lithuania, Costa Rica, and Honduras. 

Dr. Harbin is a coach and mentor to many pastors, staff, and key church leaders around the world.  Under his leadership WWGM assists pastors and church leaders to develop a Spirit led, purpose driven and focused vision church.  He has a heart for pastors and a desire to see them achieve all that God has for them. 

In May 2008, Steve began an "Interim" pastorate with the Appalachia Baptist Church in Morganton, Georgia. In June 2009 the church extended the call to Dr. Steve Harbin to become Senior Pastor.  

Dr. Harbin will continue his work with Walking with God Ministries International as well as work with the  Appalachia Church. 

Steve has written extensively for LifeWay and is the author for three books.  His most recent release is Let the Fire Fall, a series of messages on the subject of revival. His other books include, Marks of Excellence (based on Sunday School growth principles), and God's Design for You (a discovery workbook based on Spiritual Gifts).  God's Design for You is also available in Spanish.
